MLM Anonymous

Your guide to MLM, network marketing,
Alternative Health Modalities, Health resources, and products such as
organic whole food nutritional supplements; nutraceuticals; angstrom-sized water-soluble ionic minerals; and organic essential oils.

"Hi! My name's Tom, and I'm a MLM junkie."

If you are in network marketing, then you understand the self- effacing humor of the URL: mlmAnonymous.com

I have faced some serious health challenges in my family that conventional medicine could not adequately address.

My search for proper health answers led me to find out more about:

Alternative Health Modalities
which you can read about in the
Health Resources
pages.

My Comments:

So, you have an interest in Alternative Health therapies and modalities.

You searched the internet looking for answers to your concerns and are now feeling overwhelmed. Alternative Health options range from the silly to, well, Alternative Health Modalities That Work!

The trouble is that there is just plain too much information to assimilate.

How do you sort out all that is available?

How do you know what's good, what's right and what's not?

Most people will recognize truth when they see it because it makes sense and is based on logic. I invite you to investigate the science behind each of the nutritional support modalities I am suggesting. If you are searching for real answers to real problems, then I think you will see the sense of what I'm presenting here.

What is meant by alternative therapies and modalities?

The American Holistic Medical Association (AHMA) answers the question:

bullet

What is Holistic Medicine?

"Holistic medicine is the art and science of healing that addresses the whole person - body, mind, and spirit. The practice of holistic medicine integrates conventional and alternative therapies to prevent and treat disease, and most importantly, to promote optimal health. This condition of holistic health is defined as the unlimited and unimpeded free flow of life force energy through body, mind, and spirit.

"Holistic medicine encompasses all safe and appropriate modalities of diagnosis and treatment. It includes analysis of physical, nutritional, environmental, emotional, spiritual and lifestyle elements. Holistic medicine focuses upon patient education and participation in the healing process."

Let me say from the start: No, I am not a doctor; I don't hold myself out to be one; and I certainly do not intend to diagnose or treat disease. However, if you have some specific medical questions, you can ask our resident net doctor. You can link to Dr. Kennedy by going to the Resources Section.

If you are trying to locate an alternative health care practitioner in your area, you can begin your search by going to the Resources listed above and clicking on American Holistic Medical Association or you can view a FREE online list of PRACTITIONERS OF ALTERNATIVE MEDICINE at the ALTERNATIVE MEDICINE NETWORK REFERRAL SERVICE.

What I have done is actively searched this field for answers to my own family's health concerns..

Perhaps a bit of explanation is in order as to why I would choose to pursue more than one network marketing opportunity at once.

A few people who have taken a look at my website commented to me that their impression is that "nothing's working" and that's why I'm into so much stuff.

If the truth be known, I became a little obsessed when searching for practical answers to my wife's health concerns. She's doing remarkably well for now, thank you very much. Among other things, she has MS - Multiple Sclerosis. What is so remarkable, though, is that she's figured out what really causes MS and what to do about it.

Currently she's writing the first draft of her "MS Theory" and we are having it reviewed by some professionals. After we find a good Philadelphia lawyer to review it so we can actually publish her theory, I'll let you know. For right now, though, we will have to save that for later. It is a story that rivals "Lorenzo's Oil," and at this point I'm not really sure what we are going to do with her theory.

Anyway, that's why I've gotten into so much stuff.

So of course I'm not advocating that you join a bunch of different network marketing companies and try to do them all. That would be ridiculous.

If anything it is far better to narrow your focus to one particular product or company line and to then pursue that opportunity with Apostolic zeal.

I have taken a look at a lot of different network marketing companies and have concluded that MLM is like Golf. It is a rich man's game; and, no one is really very good at it.

Too many of the network marketing companies, in my humble opinion, are designed for the benefit of the heavy hitters usually at the expense of the part-time representatives. Often times you may even find a bit of arrogance on the part of the ones who have made it to the top. Their advice to the newcomer is to "figure it out." (Actually though, that's really not bad advice. Perhaps the system I outline here and in my e-school lessons will help you to do that. I hope so.)

I am, of course, generalizing about the industry as a whole.

In NO way do I intend to disparage one particular company. It just seems to me that the companies themselves leave too much up to the individual representatives. Sometimes I think it is official policy of some companies to make things as costly and as difficult for the part-time representative / distributor as possible.

It also seems to me that the companies who have the marketing aspect of it down to a science are using the products - usually of dubious value to the end consumer - as a means to make the MLM scheme work.

So again, the reason I've chosen the companies and products that I have is because of the products themselves. We have been searching for answers to our own health concerns.

What I have done in the process is to figure out how to effectively market on the Internet. I've sort of been forced to do it this way because of my particular circumstances. I use the handy excuse that I work for a living. I work the afternoon and evening shift. So, it is next to impossible for me to conduct network marketing the way it has been done in the past. That is to say belly to belly, on the phone, or through the mail.

The Internet is an entirely different medium. It's one that we're all trying to figure out as we go along. It is a medium that is constantly changing. So if you are serious about marketing on the Internet, let me just say that you will soon find out - if you haven't already - what is meant by the 'NET". It is an acronym for "Never Ending Tasks"

What is a dietary supplement?

As defined by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA):

"A dietary supplement is any product taken by mouth that contains a so-called "dietary ingredient" and its label clearly states that it is a dietary supplement.

The "dietary ingredients" in dietary supplements may include vitamins, minerals, herbs, and amino acids as well as substances such as enzymes, organ tissues, metabolites, extracts or concentrates. Dietary supplements can be found in many forms such as pills, tablets, capsules, liquids or powders. They must be identified on the label as a dietary supplement. "

You can read more about what the FDA and related government agencies have to say about supplements by looking in the Resources section and clicking to their respective web sites.

bullet And yes, each of these companies is an MLM.
bullet But no, I'm not necessarily pushing that aspect. Network marketing is a means of distributing goods and services.
bullet You do not have to participate in the home-based business aspect. That is entirely up to you. The products stand on their own.
bullet These products are not just an excuse to have a multi-level company.

But, in today's business and medical environment network marketing offers the companies the best way to bring their goods to market so that people can enjoy the life changing benefits of these products.

Each of these companies offer products that are real answers to real problems. I hope that by exploring each, you can find the solutions you are seeking.

I invite you to investigate the science behind each of these concepts. Is this something that makes sense to you? Enough to give it a try? If you are a doctor, for example, would you offer these to your patients? That is the real question, in my opinion.

As a matter of fact, many doctors are turning to network marketing. I think there are a few reasons for this:

bullet Doctors want to practice better medicine.
bullet Patients are seeking guidance regarding nutritional supplements.
bullet Managed care and other economic constraints are preventing doctors from earning what they need to cover their large overhead and operating expenses.
bullet And like all of us they are pressed for time.

So, I hope that you are not turned off from the three alternative health modalities I suggest just because the companies distribute their products through multi-level marketing. You do not have to participate in the business aspect of any of them unless you choose to do so.

In any event, I hope that you will find my suggestions useful in your search for answers to your problems, whatever they may be. I do hope that you will find the appropriate Alternative Health Modality that is right for you.

I invite you to return to the top of this page and investigate each of these alternatives for yourself.

MLM Anonymous Meeting

"Hi! My name's Tom, and I'm a MLM junkie."

That's how I began my first web page. I still love it. But many people just didn't get "it". If you are a network marketer, then you understand the self effacing humor of the URL: mlmAnonymous.com

If you ever had to jump from one program to another you know exactly what I mean. Perhaps now you are at the proverbial crossroads of failure and success.

Multi-level marketing is a great concept.

Where else can the little guy start with next to nothing and make it big. Really big, if he really wants to. And then there are the friendships developed through pursuing a common goal and developing one's personal potential along the way.

There are the many innovative products that have been introduced through MLM. And there's the feeling that we're really a part of something great. But there's also a downside. It can be like a gambler's addiction if one uses Network Marketing as a get rich quick scheme. You may have heard that MLM stands for "Mostly Losing Money".

Did you ever have MLM properly explained to you?

Would you like to hear a presentation given by a professor at one of America's top business schools explain MLM as a proper business model?

You can listen to Mr. Tim Sales and Dr. Charles King, Professor of Business at the University of Chicago, explain MLM or Network Marketing.

So, if you came to this site because of the peculiar URL, mlmAnonymous.com, thinking that perhaps this would be a twelve-step program to get out of MLM, then I'm sorry to disappoint you. I chose it on a whim because I'm making fun of myself for being involved in three MLM companies at the same time. I guess if I have to explain the joke, it looses its punch.
